My eaglet, my friend

My eagle, my friend

To set free...

Last winter, I had to take care of this eaglet. I found her flying through our apartment and bumped into the glass window and fell off the ground. I hurriedly got the eagle and see if it was still alive. I checked its legs and it was wounded. I nursed the eagle for a month until the wound on its legs were cured.

When it was ready to fly again, I happily set the eaglet free. How I wished it would return to see me again. ;) I miss my eaglet, my friend.

;) Did you ever find an animal? What did you do then?

One fact about me is my love for shoes. :) They are my companions wherever I go. They carry me to places I have never been before. They are with me in travels, walks and turnings in life. They protect my feet from dangers. They may get dirty, old and worn out. They may also be washed, cleansed and fixed. Once they are totally broken, they are thrown and replaced with new ones. However, their memories with me stays a lifetime.

"Ro" is one of my nicknames.

Vday blast!

I had a blast with fellow Pinoys in the city. We had so much fun at the KTV last Valentines Day. Although we don’t have dates but we still managed to have a group date and enjoy the company of each other. The night was filled with so much laughter and dance. We also enjoyed playing Uno, enjoying card games and drinking.

Thank goodness that it is holiday this week. So I get to sleep whenever I like. Sleep, sleep and more sleep. I also enjoy watching movies in the morning. I just love holidays.

Wait! I really have nothing new to say. I had a great day today. I ate Tacos for breakfast courtesy of my very good friend Dheck. In the afternoon, I went shopping with Rose and Jessie. Every Chinese New Year, everything is on sale. Thus, it is time for shopping! We bought Casio and Rarone watches at a good price. I also bought watches for my mom, dad and myself. I spent like 1500 Yuan for the watches. I also bought a new black bag. I like its style because you can wear hand carry or as a messenger bag. It is also big enough to put a lot of trash inside. It comes with a very cool design. After 4 years of stay in China, it was my first time to buy a peeler and hair brush. I bought the peeler because last weeks, as I was preparing the dinner, I could not find the old peeler at home. I got really irked looking for it because I don’t really know how to peel vegetables well - potatoes to be exact. I also needed a hair brush because I would love to make my hair long and see how it would look on me. Oh, I also bought a washable silicon cover for my lappy toppy.

 Have a great week! 

Masks

Everyone wears mask one time in their lives either to hide the real self from the realities and danger of the world or  to pretend to be someone who we are not. We tried to hide emotions. We tried to hide the truth. We tried to hinder others from seeing our real selves. Wearing masks makes you feel confident eventhough deep inside you are weak. Wearing masks also hides your sadness from the terrible miseries in life. Mask comes in different colors. Some colors are bright and some are dull. Some are funny and some are scary. Some are appreciated while some are left unnoticed. Did you ever hide yourself from a certain mask?

Urbaning Names

I logged in my Facebook account and found out that Anne Lorenzo has been finding out definitions of her friend’s names on www.urbandictionary.com .

The website also defines what Anne was actually doing and they call it “urbaning.”
"Urbaning"

February 4, 2010 Urban Word of the Day
-> To look up your own name on Urban Dictionary, either for definition or myspace usage.
Me and Rianna went on Urbaning last night, her name means a suckjob. Lets put it on myspace.

I did the same way and find out what my name means. Here it goes:

"Roel"

Pronouced "row-el" not "roll". Typically a young Filipino male who embodies all that is "cool" and "hip". The best Roels know how to dance, sing, and play drums as well...all while being super cool.

Waiter: umm ...Roll? party of three?
Roel: dude its ROEL...stop butchering sucha cool name. idiot.

Wahahaha… I was just wondering why it was really defined as a “Filipino male.” Does the name ROEL come from the Philippines? What’s the etymology of the word ROEL? I might as well find out about it. There are many ROEL variations. There is RUEL, ROWEL, RHOEL, ROWELL, ROWELLE, RHOUWELLE and RHOUEWELLE! Hehehehe!

I think it is also nice that ROELS can DANCE. I agree!

ROELS can SING. I agree!

ROELS can PLAY DRUMS? Not true. I don’t play the drums!

ROELS are SUPER COOL. YAHOOOO!

Go urbaning and find out what your name means.
